Clarden Rowan Jr., also known to relatives and friends as Bill or Buck, was 40 years old when he went missing from his home in Upshur County, West Virginia, more than 25 years ago.
And despite the efforts of local authorities, his whereabouts are still unknown.
Between 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 29, 1991, Rowan was seen at his residence at Route 2 Box 142 in Buckhannon, but there had been no sightings of him after that, and he was therefore reported missing.
At the time of his disappearance, Rowan had a “neat,” full beard, and he was wearing a “flannel shirt, t-shirt, jeans, work boots,” according to West Virginia State Police.
Rowan is believed to be a Caucasian male who was born on Apr. 2, 1950, and he has green eyes, brown hair, and he weighed approximately 205 pounds and stood five-foot-eight inches tall.
It was also reported that Rowan, who would now be in his 70s if he was found alive, had a “scar on his right hand between the thumb and forefinger.”
Other than Rowan’s last known whereabouts and physical appearance, there are no other details available in his case.
However, Upshur County investigators said his disappearance is suspicious.
