Felicia Hines was 24 years old when she was murdered in Hillsborough County, Florida, more than two decades ago, and the person responsible for her death has yet to be brought to justice.
There are a few details available in Hines’ case, but what has been reported is that on the night of Dec. 7, 2001, she was sitting in the passenger seat of a 1999 Isuzu Amigo.
Her boyfriend was driving.
They were near North 34th Street and East Comanche Avenue in Tampa when he heard a noise. He thought the SUV had backfired, but when he turned to look at Hines, he knew something was amiss because she was slumped over.
He soon realized that Hines had been shot, and the noise he heard was a gunshot, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
It is unknown how many times Hines was shot and where, but she was rushed to Tampa General Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
No arrests have been made, and her case ultimately went cold.
