Jeremy Jourdain was born on Feb. 22, 1999. He was 17 years old when he went missing from Bemidji, Minnesota, and despite the efforts of local authorities, his whereabouts are still unknown more than five years later.
On the night of Oct. 31, 2016, Jeremy’s friend picked him up at his house in Cass Lake, which is where he lived with his grandfather, to go to a party in Bemidji.
It was a 20-minute drive, and several of his other friends were going to be there as well.
He was supposed to return home but failed to do so. When he hadn’t arrived the following morning, his grandfather reported him missing, which led to a search by the Bemidji Police Department.
According to NBC News, Alexandra, who is Jeremy’s aunt, stated that she received information that while he was at the party, several of his friends were smoking cigarettes outside when they suddenly saw him run off.
They claim that they thought it was strange that he wouldn’t tell them where he was going, but then they assumed that he was going to go home.
Relatives aren’t buying that he ran because of the distance between his house and where the party was located.
In a statement, Bemidji officers said, “We have interviewed many people, searched numerous vehicles, and searched private properties.”
“Searches by air, land, and water have been conducted. We have used airplanes, helicopters, dogs, drones, boats, and canoes to look for Jeremy Jourdain.”
Jeremy had black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue and gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black and white shoes that were Air Jordans.
He was six-foot-four inches tall and weighed 175 pounds.
If he were to be found alive today, Jeremy would be in his 20s.
Anyone with information regarding the disappearance of Jeremy Jourdain is urged to contact the Bemidji Police Department at (218) 333-9111.
