Kevin Jazrael Davis was 18 years old when he murdered his mother, Kimberly Hill, and then sexually abused her corpse at their home in Corpus Christi, Texas.
At around 10 a.m. on March 27, 2014, Davis called 911 and confessed to murdering his mother at their apartment in the 4300 block of Kostoryz Road, according to the Houston Chronicle.
When officers with the Corpus Christi Police Department arrived at the Windrush Apartments, they found the 50-year-old dead. She was naked from the waist down, and her skull had been split in two.
The officers also found a trail of blood from the living room to the bedroom.
Davis had fled the scene on his bicycle, but he left behind several handwritten notes. One of which said, “Chase me. Sorry for the mess. KD.”
He asserted that he left notes because he was “in a very playful mood at the time. I just wanted to run. I just wanted to see how far I could get.”
Davis was planning to leave town, but he changed his mind and ended up abandoning his bike near the train tracks the next day. He then walked to the nearest house and knocked on the door.
A couple answered the door, and he told them that he had killed someone and wanted to use their phone to call the police.
On March 28, 2014, Davis went to the police station and turned himself in. And it was there that he made a full confession.
During a recorded interview with detectives, Davis said he got into an argument with his mother about his wanting to commit suicide.

He said, “I’m bored with life. I don’t like life. I don’t like people. I don’t like living it, basically. There’s really nothing depressing about it.”
When she allegedly told him that she could not control his actions, he decided to take her life instead.
As Hill was sitting on the couch watching television, Davis took a cord from his video game and strangled her. When she wouldn’t stop screaming, he went to her bedroom and retrieved a hammer.
He returned to the living room area and struck Hill in the back of the head about 20 times until her skull began to split.
Davis told detectives that “she was out pretty quickly.”
The Today Show reported that Hill didn’t die after she was struck on the head—she was unconscious as Davis dragged her to her bedroom.
Hill met her demise after Davis stuck his finger and a knife inside her skull. He told detectives it felt like “pudding.”
Afterward, he decided to have sexual intercourse with his mother’s dead body.
When officers asked if that was his first time, Davis said, “Oh yeah, I guess I lost my virginity to a corpse.”
Davis added that his mother didn’t deserve to die, as she was a good mother, but he didn’t regret killing her.
He said, “I’m just a terrible, disgusting person.”
According to Fox 43, Davis had violent and sexual fantasies about women, including his mother and sister.
He told investigators that after killing his mother, he waited for his sister to return to the family’s Corpus Christi home, as he intended to kill her as well.
He said, “I decided against it because… well… I had my fill of killing. I didn’t… seemed a little much.”
According to a doctor’s testimony, Davis suffers from a personality disorder, but he knew right from wrong when he killed his mother.
Davis suggested he get 100 years because if he had the opportunity, he would kill again.
“I’m not mentally disturbed, I’m sane,” he said. “I know what I did.”
On Oct. 6, 2014, Davis pleaded guilty to first-degree murder.
A jury deliberated for less than an hour in 214th District Judge Jose Longoria’s court before deciding that Davis should receive the maximum sentence.
Davis was sentenced to life in prison.
While outside the courtroom, Davis’ grandfather stated that “justice has been done. It’s just a sad situation. You just don’t take your mother’s life.”
