Vernon Lee Gough was 45 years old at the time he was murdered. His body was found in a wooded area in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, more than 30 years ago, and the person responsible for his death has yet to be brought to justice.
At around 10 p.m. on Nov. 14, 1986, Gough left his home in Baltimore to meet up with an unknown individual, and he never returned, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The following day, on Nov. 15, 1986, Vernon Lee Gough was found dead at approximately 1:52 p.m. in a wooded area located in the 7500 block of Race Road in the Jessup area.
Officials stated that Gough’s wallet was missing when his body was found.
An autopsy revealed that Gough had been shot to death.
